Dining and Conference Services
Cook

St. Lawrence University is currently accepting applications for a full time Cook position in Dining and Conference Services.  Cooks prepare a wide variety of food items to be served according to the food service standards of St. Lawrence University.  Must estimate food quantities to be used and the supplies to be ordered.  Combination of day and night hours; weekend work required.  Qualifications:  High School diploma (or equivalent) required.  Culinary training and Serve-Safe training preferred.  Strong mathematical skills required.  1-3 years experience in quantity cooking required.  Will consider successful completion of an externship or internship in quantity cooking.  Ability to operate standard cooking machinery and equipment.  Ability to move 25 pounds a minimum of 10 feet.  Please forward application, letter of interest, resume, and the names and phone numbers of 3 professional references to the Associate Director of Human Resources, RE: Cook Search #02-10, Dining and Conference Services, St. Lawrence University, Canton, NY  13617.  SLU is an EO/AA employer.
